Dr. Bo Yang is a transplant surgeon and researcher specializing in clinical and translational studies on end-stage organ diseases. He received his medical training and currently serves at the Department of Organ Transplantation, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. Dr. Yang has conducted advanced research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, where he worked with Professor Alejandro Soto-Gutierrez on stem cell biology and liver disease models.
His work focuses on developing innovative therapeutic strategies for liver disease, metabolic reprogramming in end-stage organ failure, and mechanisms of ischemia-reperfusion injury. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Journal of Hepatology, Hepatology, Transplantation and Advanced Science.
