Nicerine Krause is an MD-PhD candidate at the University of Geneva, working at the Laboratory of Tissue Engineering and Cellular Transplantation and a resident in the department of surgery of the University Hospital of Geneva. Her research focuses on developing placenta-derived cryogels to improve pancreatic islet transplantation by enhancing vascularization and graft survival. She is also involved in other national studies within the Swiss Transplant Cohort. She aims to contribute to more effective and translational approaches in regenerative medicine and transplantation.
