Dr. Shohki Suzuki is a physician at Tohoku University Hospital, Japan.
His research focuses on improving the engraftment efficiency of intraportal islet transplantation and optimizing clinical outcomes in cell-based therapies.
He is engaged in translational research exploring immune and coagulation mechanisms that influence graft survival.
Dr. Suzuki has also contributed to the development of mocravimod, a sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor modulator designed to enhance cell transplantation efficacy.
His goal is to develop safer and more effective therapeutic strategies for patients undergoing islet transplantation and regenerative treatments for diabetes.
